Willis Ikedum is an award-winning screenwriter, producer and director whose journey started at the prestigious New York Film Academy where he studied filmmaking. Ikedum’s films have premiered at renowned film festivals including Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), BFI London Film Festival and Hollywood Black Film Festival. Ikedum’s feature directorial debut, Mummy Dearest, was amongst the first set of African films licensed by Netflix in 2016.

76 won two Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) and five Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) including best director and best overall movie in Africa 2017. BABY STEPS, one of Ikedum’s directorial efforts, was listed on Pulse-NG’s top ten movies of 2019. Off his career, Mr. Ikedum cares for the less privileged in the society and is a budding philanthropist.
